1. THE BEST U.S. CASINO APP IS…
DraftKings has topped our Online Casino App Rankings for the third consecutive report, extending its lead with a score more than a full point ahead of its highest-scoring competitor.
Testers praised its nearly flawless gameplay, extensive jackpots, and exclusive content that was both deep and unique. While there’s still room to improve—particularly on game information and slots navigation—DraftKings remains the app to beat.
DraftKings sister app Golden Nugget came in second, while Caesars Palace claimed the number three spot by a razor thin margin over FanDuel Casino.
The Caesars app continues to be a favorite among testers for its design and layout, ranking 2nd in the Feel category, while also delivering reliable gameplay and standout promotions. However, minor issues remain, including slightly slower speeds compared to other top apps, and a lack of differentiating features.
Despite regular improvements, FanDuel Casino had repeatedly landed in 5th place in our recent reports. This round, the app made meaningful progress—climbing to fourth and just barely missing 3rd.
Testers highlighted FanDuel Rewards Machine as their favorite free-to-play game, alongside deep exclusive content and strong jackpots. The FanDuel app also stood out in the Core category, with fast withdrawals, low minimums, and 2FA-enabled account tools that don’t require contacting support.
Finally, bet365’s casino app made huge gains in our last report, jumping from 21st to 10th, and its continued improvements have now earned it 7th place. The standalone app now boasts exceptional speed and intuitive navigation on the UX front, along with quality game information and accessible account management on the Extra side.
While 365’s jackpot and live casino content still lag behind top competitors, leaving meaningful room for improvement, the turnaround over the last two rounds of testing has been hard to ignore.

3. TRENDING UP / TRENDING DOWN
Trending up: Robin Hood’s prediction markets. Robin Hood generated more than half of Kalshi’s trading volume in 2Q, according to new analysis from InGame. Robin Hood generated around $1bn in trading volume in the quarter, the majority of the total $1.87bn traded at Kalshi. That trading volume generated around $10m in revenue for Robin Hood, meaning prediction markets are still a relative drop in the bucket for the platform, which generated nearly $1bn in revenue in 2Q.
Trending down: Land-based casino stocks. Caesars shares fell 11% over the last week with MGM down 6%, amid concerns about land-based revenues and Las Vegas, that seemingly outweighed strong Digital results.
4. CHART OF THE WEEK: SLOTS ARE EATING THE WORLD
The chart above shows our estimates of the percentage of PA online casino GGR coming from slots.
The percentage of GGR from slots has gradually trended upward, to 79% for the 3 months through May ‘25, up from 78% in the trailing twelve months and 73% in twelve months before that.
Market share leader FanDuel is a key driver of the uptick, increasing its slots percentage to 78% in the T3M up from 75% in the T12M and 66% in the P12M.
FanDuel’s rising mix appears tied to improving direct casino acquisition rather than cross-sell and more exclusive slots content.
DraftKings is a relative laggard here at 69% for the T3M, though we believe this is due to the strength of its in-house non-slots games like Rocket and Balloon.
Penn’s Hollywood brand leads all operators at 90% slots percentage in T3M, per our estimates.
